Downtown SMR @ World Trade Center

Pinnacle and Silverstein Properties to locate a Specialized Mobile Radio (SMR) trunked system on the roof of World Trade Center Building 7. Pinnacle has been contracted to install an SMR system on the roof of World Trade Center Building 7. The system will provide both local- and wide-area radio service to lower Manhattan and surrounding areas. Silverstein Properties will be the initial system user, utilizing the system to support its building operations at the World Trade Center. Although the system will be implemented at Bldg. 7, it has been designed to support building operations, tenants and construction services throughout the World Trade Center complex.

The trunked radio network is capable of providing shared services in the form of Private (one-to-one) and Group (one-to-many) radio communications to future tenants of the World Trade Center, along with suporting the extensive long-term rebuilding efforts at Ground Zero.
